The first team took a long drive to newly relegated Saracens Amateurs to face of against another unbeaten side for a top of the table clash
The game was a hard fought scrappy game with lots of handling errors from both sides & Saracens strong scrum had Actonians on the back foot quite often
But phenomenal line breaks from players like Will Morgan and Tom Knight ,Actonians were able to take the lead early in the game with Will Morgan running in the first try.
Saracens then used strong pick and go's off the back of rucks to truck the ball up closer and closer to Actonians line scoring to bring the score closer.
Back and fourth play keeps the match close for the remainder of the game when in the last minute of the game Saracens score another pick and go try to bring them within 2 points of Actonians. As the kicker lines up the conversion to equalise the score , a wall of blue and white stripes bursts of the line storming their way towards the kicker throwing him off his game causing him to hit the post.
1 minute left and Actonians are up two points...Edge of the seat Rugby and sweaty palms from Head coach Andrew Barrington
In the last play of the game Actonians go off their feet in a ruck trying to end the game on the half way line.
Saracens decide to go for points for the win But the kick falls short leaving the score 24-26 to Actonians and extending the winning streak to 3 out of 3 so far this season.
The lads are hoping to add a fourth next week as they travel away to thankfully a more local team against West London which will see a tough battle against a team recently joined back into the Counties leagues.
