Actonians started the game strong executing moves efficiently and playing at a strong pace. This, paired with Barnet giving away a few early penalties in dangerous positions, led to Actonians going into the second 17 points up with Barnet not registering on the score sheet.

The talk at halftime mainly involved keeping the game at Actonians' pace and not letting the foot off the gas

Barnet came out for the second half with a new attitude and with a few strong ball carriers and a 9 that was great at finding holes in the defensive line. Leading them to score two tries and adding the conversions saw the game poised at 14-17. Number 15 Will Rogers saved Actonians from conceding 2 more scores with try saving tackles from a player no one else could seem to stop, which in turn allowed Actonians to find their pace again, and with an incredible interception try from number 12 Tom Knight (still life in those old legs), leading to an open half-way line break, allowed Actonians to seal the deal winning the first match of the Middx Counties 2 campaign 24-34.
